Sunrise at Sorrento Beach, Western Australia

This morning I awoke at 5am and usually I would go back to sleep. Instead, I drove down to the beach to watch the sun rise. I walked along the beach and up to a set of rocks that acted like a podium. The hill was a circle of rocks with sand in the middle and I could see all my surroundings. The crescent moon was still visible and glowed as the sky changed colours. An orange layer began to rise over the beach houses. Eventually, it dispersed into pink clouds as the sky lightened. I watched sea gulls glide effortless along the empty beach. It was a magical moment. Get out and explore nature whenever you can!
